As a New York City-based climate tech company, EnergyHub is proud to take part in this year’s Climate Week NYC.
We are hosting three events this week, including a panel on the future of virtual power plants, a documentary screening, and a wildlife walk through Prospect Park. Below, you’ll also find a curated list of other Climate Week events we’re following closely, covering battery storage, data center power demand, and the broader path to grid modernization.

Tuesday, September 22
Fairness, flexibility, and the future of the grid
10:30 – 11:30am
Learn about the benefits of VPPs for utilities and ratepayers, why VPPs are a necessary part of the grid’s future, and what it will take to grow VPPs nationally, and equitably. We’ll also dive into a real-world look at ConnectedSolutions, a cross-utility VPP program with National Grid, Eversource, and other New England utilities, enrolling 280,000 devices, delivering 800+ MW of capacity, and holding 96% customer retention.

Wildlife walk | 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
EnergyHub is teaming up with Wild Bird Fund for a Wildlife Walk through Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Expert birders and educators will show you how to spot and ID birds (and other wildlife) by sight and sound, no experience needed, just curiosity.
