Ben is responsible for advanced grid services as well as analytics within EnergyHub's Mercury DERMS platform. He is also the company’s chief data scientist, overseeing the application of advanced machine learning techniques to the modeling, forecasting, and control of distributed energy resources. Ben is an expert on the intersection between advanced energy technology and energy markets, contributing to landmark reports on the digitalization and decarbonization of the power system published by the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center and the Council on Foreign Relations. He is also a contributor to Axios.
Ben came to EnergyHub from ThinkEco, where he was VP, Technology, and prior to that was a member of the Quantitative Strategies group at Credit Suisse. He holds a BA in Computer Science from Northwestern, an MS in Mathematics from the Courant Institute at NYU, and a PhD in Mathematics from UCLA.
