EnergyHub™, a leading home energy management systems provider, today announced the appointment of two senior executives to its management team: Jason Barton as Chief Operating Officer and Manoj Sindhwani as Vice President of Engineering. Both executives bring large-scale commercial and consumer products experience to EnergyHub and have previously held senior management roles at global technology organizations. Barton will focus on developing all facets of the business and preparing for scale in manufacturing, marketing, and distribution with an emphasis on establishing multiple sales channels to reach end users. Sindhwani is tasked with building upon EnergyHub’s already acclaimed line of products by supporting both existing and new software/hardware development.

“Jason and Manoj add to the team’s depth of experience in engineering, sales, and operations,” Seth Frader-Thompson, CEO of EnergyHub, said. “As we continue to strengthen our executive bench, EnergyHub is confident we can empower utilities and consumers with easy-to-use systems to increase residential energy efficiency and load control penetration as part of a solution to today’s energy problems.”

Barton joins EnergyHub most recently from Segway where he held successive sales leadership roles, culminating in his role as Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. There he grew distribution and sales to more than 150 countries while helping to define commercial and consumer sales channels. He also oversaw customer care and government relations. Prior to Segway, Barton was responsible for enterprise sales in the U.S. at Palm for its business, vertical, and federal markets. Barton also has global enterprise sales experience at MCI/WorldCom. Before moving to the U.S. Barton was located in England and led U.K. sales and marketing for Precor Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of premium sports and fitness equipment.

Sindhwani brings a variety of software, hardware, and embedded systems experience from his 20 years of developing telephony and networking products. Prior to joining EnergyHub, Sindhwani was the Vice President of Engineering at Xtone Networks, where he was responsible for the development of a distributed platform consisting of embedded clients, voice applications, and cloud-based servers for delivering interactive voice services over the web. Before Xtone, Sindhwani was Director of Engineering of Texas Instruments’ (TI) Communications Infrastructure and Voice business unit. Sindhwani’s rich experience in developing highly portable, interoperable and field-hardened products will ensure that EnergyHub products seamlessly interoperate with a diversity of utility technologies and legacy residential equipment.
