New York, NY – February 22, 2017 – EnergyHub, the leading provider of connected device and distributed energy resource platform services for utilities, announced today that it had successfully completed the first year of a multi-year contract to manage PSEG Long Island’s residential, commercial and industrial demand response programs. EnergyHub provides turnkey program management services for both PSEG Long Island’s residential Bring Your Own Thermostat® (BYOT) demand response program, known as Smart Savers, and the PSEG Long Island Commercial System Relief Program.

A subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated, PSEG Long Island operates the Long Island Power Authority’s transmission and distribution system and serves over 1.1 million customers. PSEG Long Island joins the more than 30 utilities across the United States who trust EnergyHub to manage their demand response programs.

PSEG Long Island uses EnergyHub’s industry-leading Mercury platform to manage both its residential and commercial demand response programs. The platform provides PSEG Long Island with the ability to manage customer enrollments, call demand response dispatch and collect data for measurement and verification for both programs.

PSEG Long Island residential customers can use the Mercury platform to enroll connected thermostats from a variety of leading connected thermostat brands in the Smart Savers residential demand response program. Mercury, the most widely deployed platform for BYOT demand response, uses a sophisticated customer enrollment portal designed specifically to maximize enrollment rates in BYOT demand response programs.

“PSEG Long Island’s commitment to customer service has been a great fit with EnergyHub’s customer-centric approach to demand response,” said Seth Frader-Thompson, Co-Founder and President of EnergyHub. “We’re pleased to have wrapped up a successful first year working with PSEG Long Island, and excited to see how we can grow the program even more in the coming years.”

“We’re excited to be working with EnergyHub to build on the success of our existing demand response programs,” said Michael Voltz, director of energy efficiency and renewable energy at PSEG Long Island. “BYOT is a great way for us to offer the type of customer-friendly demand response program that our residential customers are looking for, and EnergyHub’s ability to manage both our commercial and residential programs has greatly simplified the management of demand response.”
