New York, NY – April 12, 2016 – EnergyHub, the leading provider of connected device management for utilities, today announced that Honeywell’s Wi-Fi thermostats are fully integrated with EnergyHub’s Mercury platform for demand response. Honeywell customers are already enrolling thermostats in Bring Your Own Thermostat® demand response programs managed by EnergyHub.

Honeywell is the latest device manufacturer to participate in EnergyHub’s industry-leading Bring Your Own Thermostat® (BYOT) demand response programs. BYOT is a customer-centric approach to demand response that allows consumers to buy and install the thermostat of their choice and enroll that thermostat in a utility demand response program.

EnergyHub’s Mercury platform is the most widely deployed BYOT platform for utilities. Combining sophisticated, data-driven demand response capability with a customer enrollment portal designed specifically for onboarding BYOT customers, Mercury includes all of the tools necessary for a utility to rapidly stand up a BYOT demand response program.

A longtime leader in the industry, Honeywell offers a wide variety of programmable and non-programmable thermostats with a range of features designed to meet the needs of every customer. Customers can choose models with features including remote control from anywhere via smartphone or tablet, voice control, energy savings mode, advanced fan/control comfort, easy installation, and various programming options.

The Honeywell integration with Mercury allows EnergyHub to continue expanding device choice for consumers participating in BYOT demand response programs. Honeywell models eligible for EnergyHub’s demand response programs include:

  • Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat
  • Wi-Fi -7Day Programmable Touchscreen Thermostat
  • Wi-Fi 7-Day Programmable Thermostat
  • Wi-Fi 9000 with Voice Control
  • Wi-Fi 9000
  • Wi-Fi FocusPRO
  • Wi-Fi VisionPRO

“We’re very excited to add Honeywell as a BYOT partner integrated with EnergyHub’s Mercury platform,” said Seth Frader-Thompson, Co-Founder and President of EnergyHub. “Honeywell has been an industry leader in thermostats for many years. Adding Honeywell devices to our platform furthers our commitment to offering the broadest selection of thermostats to customers in BYOT demand response programs.”

“Honeywell offers a robust line of Wi-Fi thermostats that offer a wide range of features to keep homeowners comfortable and in control of their homes,” said Jeremy Eaton, vice president of Honeywell’s Connected Home business. “We’re excited to work with EnergyHub to make it easier for our customers to enroll in utility demand response programs.”
