EnergyHub was among a group of 47 consumer technology companies which sent a joint letter to President Obama today urging the Administration to adopt the goal of “giving every household and business access to timely, useful and actionable information on their energy use.” Featuring prominent consumer tech leaders such as Google, Honeywell, Intel and GE, the coalition highlighted the potential for in-home energy management technology to save consumers billions of dollars and reduce greenhouse emissions, and called for the Administration to establish “clear rules on consumer access to information; incentives to promote the deployment of technologies, including cost recovery; programs that educate and engage both providers and energy users; and encouragement of diverse technologies.”
