  • Where can I read more about each of your products?
    To see all our product specifications, check out the Home Base, Socket, Strip, Wireless Thermostat, Heavy Duty Controller, and Wireless CT Sensor.
  • Is a smart meter required?
    You don’t need to have a smart meter transmitting energy data for Home Base to help save you energy. Having a smart meter in Texas or an Itron ERT type 07 meter will allow you to get a fuller picture of your energy use. If you want whole-home data and don’t have a smart meter, check out the Wireless CT Sensor and be sure to read our page all about smart meter connectivity.
  • Will the Mercury Thermostat work with my Home Base?
    No. The thermostats look very similar, however they use different communication technologies. Only the thermostat sold on our store is compatible with the Home Base.
  • Will I need someone to help me install the system?
    You don’t need an installer to make the EnergyHub system work. It’s ready to go right out of the box! Just plug the Sockets and Strips into your outlets and then plug your appliances in and you’re all set.   • Do I need to buy a Socket/Strip for every appliance?
    No. There are some important ones to target though. We recommend you purchase one of the Starter Kits and rotate that Socket and Strip around to different rooms with different appliances to determine which appliances make the most sense to monitor and control over the long term. You might find that you enjoy the convenience and remote access for automatically turning certain appliances on/off more than what you originally thought.
  • How many EnergyHub devices can I get?
    At this time, each Home Base supports up to nine connected EnergyHub devices. That means that each Strip/Socket/Thermostat counts as one.
